RELL Seas Factions
RELL Seas is built around three player-facing factions: Pirates, Marines, and Bounty Hunters. These are role choices, not cosmetic titles.
The game is still unreleased, so reputation ranks, base unlocks, and faction-only quests are not fully documented.
Faction overview
| Faction | Fantasy | Current community summary |
|---|---|---|
| Pirates | Freedom, crews, pirate king | Crew play, ship life, and a pirate-king style end goal |
| Marines | Justice and navy structure | Marine bases, law, and navy identity |
| Bounty Hunters | Hunting pirates for pay | Independent hunter play, bounties, and capture-focused goals |
Pirates
Pirates are the open-sea fantasy: crews, ships, exploration, and a long-term pirate-king style goal. Community coverage treats pirate play as the default sandbox path because it lines up with sailing, sea events, and crew PvP.
Marines
Marines are the navy side. Community notes mention marine bases and a justice-focused identity. If you want a more structured, law-and-order loop instead of pirate freedom, this is the documented alternative.
Bounty Hunters
Bounty Hunters sit between the other two. They are described as independent operators who hunt pirates for bounties instead of joining a navy or a pirate crew as their main identity.
How factions sit next to the rest of the game
Faction choice is one of several character decisions, not the only one:
- Race changes movement and some combat access.
- Fighting style changes melee identity.
- Talents change the work you do on land and at sea.
- Faction changes the social and goal layer: crew, navy, or hunter.
