RELL Seas Talents
Talents are one of the main ways to progress in RELL Seas. They sit beside combat, sailing, and quests instead of being a side hobby.
The game is still unreleased, so exact node costs and level caps are TBA. The structure below is what community wikis and talent breakdowns currently agree on.
Talent structure
Community coverage describes 10 or more talent trees, with about 7 to 8 skills per tree.
Each talent is also described with three mastery ranks:
| Rank | Role |
|---|---|
| Novice | Entry rank |
| Adept | Mid rank |
| Expert | High rank |
That means progression is not only “unlock a tree.” You also push a tree’s mastery as you keep using it.
Skill tree paths
The documented skill-tree branches cover combat and a lot of non-combat work:
- Fishing
- Wood cutting
- Cooking
- Mining
- Shipwriting
- Crafting
- Navigation
- Thievery
- Combat
This is why RELL Seas reads as a role-based RPG rather than a combat-only grinding game. A player can advance by sailing, gathering, crafting, or fighting, then feed that work back into talents.
How talents fit into progression
The current best reading is:
- Pick a role: fighter, sailor, crafter, explorer, or a mix.
- Level the talent trees that match that role.
- Use story quests and exploration to keep moving while those trees grow.
- Branch into other trees when you need ships, food, materials, or extra combat options.
Talents are the long-term character layer. Weapons, Haki posters, fruits, and races sit on top of that layer instead of replacing it.
