RELL Seas Bosses and Sea Events
Bosses and sea events are the combat layer of RELL Seas exploration. Bosses are unique, high-health enemies. Sea events spawn while you sail and can turn travel into a fight.
The game is still unreleased, so named boss lists and drop tables are incomplete.
Bosses
Bosses are powerful enemies with unique movesets and much larger health pools than standard enemies. When a boss is in range, a boss health bar appears at the top of the screen.
What that means in play:
- Boss fights are pattern-based, not just bigger trash mobs.
- The top-of-screen health bar is the signal that you are in boss range.
- Longer fights make weapons, Haki posters, fruits, and crew play more relevant than a single M1 string.
Community sneak videos show boss kits before launch, but those clips are not a complete bestiary.
Sea events
Sea travel can trigger events around the player once they are on the water.
Known event types:
- Sea beasts
- Ship wars
- Marine wars
- Ghost ships
- Cargo protection
Sea beasts
Sea beast events spawn at sea. Different beasts can appear, and defeating them can grant a reward plus the item they drop.
Ship wars and marine wars
Ship war events also spawn at sea and ask you to fight multiple ships. Marine wars are the navy-flavored version of that same naval fight loop.
Ghost ships and cargo protection
Ghost ships and cargo protection are documented as additional sea-event types. Exact spawn rules and rewards are TBA.
Ships, PvP, and underwater travel
Sea combat is tied to player travel:
- Players can PvP with ships while exploring.
- Ship Battle Mode opens FOV and ship abilities for naval fights.
- Ship Exploration Mode is the default sailing state, including cannons and anchor drifting.
- Submarines are documented as a way to go underwater, alongside Fish-man traversal.
